Stan Talman Percussion

Stan Talman has been a musician from age 7, starting on the violin and piano before transitioning to percussion at age 11 at Wells Cathedral School. During this time he was awarded scholarships with the National Children’s Orchestra and the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, and won a finalist spot at Wells’ Concerto Competition. Now a scholar at the world’s no.1 performing arts conservatoire, the Royal College of Music, he performs regularly with the in-demand Box 9 Drumline, Bath Symphony Orchestra and other groups. A member of the prestigious RCM quartet PERC’M, he regularly delivers workshops and performances throughout London. He’s curated a programme of duo concerts involving the marimba and trumpet, with pieces ranging from Chopin to Piazolla, in music festivals across the South West. He performs often in musical theatre and opera pits, coaches regularly for the Tri-Borough Music Hub, and delivers one-to-one teaching both in-person and online.
