Shuyang Josh Jia Violin

Shuyang Josh Jia completed his BM in violin performance at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 2011. That same year, he was offered a place as a fellowship member at the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra under the Robert H.N. Ho Foundation.

After completing the fellowship scheme, Josh joined Takako Nishizaki Violin Studio in Hong Kong, where he found a deep passion for cultivating young music talent. Josh believes in a holistic approach to violin education, prioritizing technical mastery, musicality, and individual student needs. He creates a warm and encouraging learning environment that fosters inclusivity and growth. Over the years, he has had the privilege of mentoring numerous high-achieving students in music examinations and nurturing young violinists who have excelled in local and international competitions.

Josh is currently pursuing his Master’s degree under Radu Blidar at the Royal College of Music, where he holds the full scholarship provided by the Croucher Trust.
